Our return to the Michigan music scene following SideShow's drunken meltdown following last week's now "lost show!" It will be released this week! Promise!! In the mean time, check out this week's show featuring Ashley MacDermaid (like a mermaid) from Flint based punk rock band Cheerleader!! They're one of the CD's we sent to Australia! She stopped by here during her vacay to the TC area to chat about the band & a little about the Flint Water Crisis & her professional career of a roller-derby girl!! We also celebrated Memorial Weekend by showing honor to the fallen soldiers who keep us free by recording a new COKE HOGAN music video to be released on Memorial Day!! Episode 76 5-14-17

Happy Mother's Day Week! Ha ha!! This week's podcast we celebrated Mother's Day by calling random mom's off a list we compiled from a Facebook post to wish them a happy Mother's Day & pull their leg a little! We also spoke with country music artist Melissa Lee (we know her locally as Missy Zenker!) about an upcoming show she'll be having at the Stormcloud Brewing Company this Saturday, May 20th at 8pm!! She has a beautiful voice & grew up right here in northern Michigan before travelling to Nashville where she's been bumping elbows with some top names in the scene, including Confederate Railroad, Charlie Daniels, Buddy Jewell and Jeff Carson! Very cool!! In the 2nd hour of the show, we chat with Jedediah Miers of Trademark Zero & Danny Grim, both formally of Graves Crossing, who ended up coming together to form their own side project "Sylva!" We even get to hear the first ever performance of "Breathe," a song that Danny wrote about his mother who passed away when he was only 12. It was very emotional & is a powerful song!! Can't wait to hear more from their new act as well as Jeds gig Trademark Zero! They'll be recording soon! And Jed got to meet his hero too! COKE HOGAN stopped by to say what's up afterwards & drop off a medallion he made especially for Jed! Ha ha!!! Look for the video on the COKE HOGAN YouTube channel!

Episode 75 5-7-17

Another fun episode in the books! Tonight we gave away 4 more tickets to see Devour The Day and Graves Crossing at Streeters this Saturday by doing an online caption contest on our Facebook page and then played "Make Mama Cuss!" Congratulations to Thomas Lane and Dick Norman on all that! We also paid our penance for talking too much during the Jack Begley interview by electrocuting ourselves in a group-chain-electrocution ring on the air!! Ha ha!! Crazy! Shawn and Jeremy from 5 After 5 played along and we also talked about the Interlochen Elementary School time capsule that we WILL be looking for this summer!

Episode 74 4-30-17

THERE WILL BE A SEASON 5 OF OAK ISLAND!!!! So geeked!! I thought we'd have more time moving to a 2 hour slot! Ha ha!! Nope!! This week's podcast is already going down as a hit in my books! Our guests this week range from a man who specializes in fine etiquette to punk rockers to a treasure hunter!!! Ric Coates, former morning show host/producer for the Omelette and Friends show came by to remember some of the old days him and SideShow shared back at WKLT! Really awesome to hear Rics voice on a mic again tonight! Our featured Michigan musical guest this week is The DrooGs out of Traverse City! These guys are a blast man! We even get to hear a very rare performance of "Functioning" of their yet to be released album! And taking up the last hour of the show this week is treasure hunter/TV producer Jack Begley from the History Channel's "The Curse of Oak Island!" This is rare folks!! A personal interview with one of the people involved with the biggest treasure hunt ever! We have some questions from some of Jacks fans that were answered tonight too!! And also a confirmation that THERE WILL BE A SEASON 5! Did I say that yet? Ha ha!! Just very happy! Congratulations also to Shawn Gates of Rapid City! You're going to see Devour The Day & Graves Crossing May 13th at Streeters Ground Zero!! We'll be giving away a couple more pairs this week on our Facebook page!
